RABINDRA NATH TAGORE INTER COLLEGE

PROSPECTUS

The Rabindra Nath Tagore Inter College presently having permanent affiliation been granted and annual financial grant sanctioned by the state Government and Jharkhand Academic council, Jharkhand was first brought into existence by Dr. S.K.Sharma, 'satyarthy' at the Hatia Ranchi .

In 1986 with the co-operation of Gandhi Shanti Pratisthan and under the able guidance of Dr. Mahendra

Kishor, the then university professor of the department of Hindi, Ranchi University, Ranchi as well as the founder secretary of this college. Besides being the founder, Dr.Satyarthy, is also the principal of the college.

Once the foundation stone of the college was laid, Dr. Satyarthy never looked behind. By his relentless efforts and hard work he was able to make the college gallop faster and faster on the path of development securing for itself an outstanding place on the educational map of Jharkhand and bringing Dr. Satyarthy's  long cherished dream into reality. The journey on the path of development was by no means an easy task, lt was rather full of thorns.

ln 1988, due to some unavoidable circumstances, the college was shifted to Namkum. Here a new managing committee was formed under the president ship of Dr. Mahendra  Kishor and the secretary ship of Sri Gulshan Lal Ajmani, a resident of Church Road, Ranchi, who later became M.L.A. of Ranchi Vidhan Sabha.

But, unfortunately no piece of-vacant land could be arranged for the college which is a necessary part of

Infra-structure for an institution. The college, therefore, had to undergo another change of location in 1992 and the college was finally shifted  from Namkum  to Hatia.

Sri Ajmani, the college secretary, was kind enough to arrange a piece of land in Hatia, on which construction of college building was started for the first time.

ln Hatia students in good numbers were enrolled in session 1993-95 in Arts, Science and Commerce faculty of the college and the performance of the first batch of students was splendid and encouraging.

Thereafter, on account of untiring efforts on the part of the principal, teachers, non teaching staff and the managing committee the college could march towards progress by leaps and bounds climbing  the ladders of success one after another.

Today the college need not any introduction. lt has made its presence felt throughout the state. Every year students of this college display their talent by touching the merit list of passed students with their splendid performance. ln the year 2009 one such student Sri Sanjit Kr. Mahto, belonging to this

College topped the list of successful candidates in the whole of Jharkhand in the faculty of Arts. lt is to be noted here that Sri Mahto was very poor and worked as a cook while carrying his studies . He has brought a pride for the College.

Permanent affiliation to the college was made only in the year 2006 and a governing body was duly formed by the Jharkhand  Academic Council. And in this very year an institution namely  Rabindra Nath Tagore Academic  Development  and Social  Welfare institute was got registered under whose

supervision smooth functioning of this college is ensured.The College Governing body expresses its gratefulness to those known or unknown people, local intellectuals,academicians and social workers who, directly or indirectly,made their valuable contribution to the college in its journey towards development.

AIM:

The main aim of the college is to provide better education to the students for their all round development and also for their bright and prosperous future. To achieve this aim, the college

Management has put its greatest effort to run the institution in a well planned manner. We have adopted many useful methods, tools and techniques for its further development. Providing quality education is quite a tough job and the college management has successfully played its role to achieve its

 targeted  goal with the support of its well talented and qualified ,teachers/lecturers. We are planning to provide tutorial classes for medical, engineering, railway, S.S.C., banking and other job oriented courses separately.

OBJECTIVES : 

1.       To provide easy tools and techniques for better education like library, laboratories, study rooms etc.

2.       To provide support of our well talented, qualified and experienced teachers and staff for better understanding of the subject matters.

3.       To make our students sincere, punctual, laborious, disciplined and above all morally sound.

4.       To provide better platform for personality development through debate, quiz, seminar, cultural programs  et.

5.       To provide better means of entertainment during leisure like carom, chess, badminton and other indoor Games.
